The Solomon Islands stretch approximately 900 miles southeast from the North Solomons (PNG) into the South West Pacific and the Coral Sea. The Solomons are an archipelago of mountainous islands and low lying atolls.

Solomon Airlines is the Solomon Islands national airline and operates one nine-passenger Islander aircraft and two bigger Twin Otters on its busy domestic services.  Solomon Airlines also flies to international destinations, linking Honiara with Australia, Vanuatu, Fiji and New Zealand. Cargo is carried on every flight operated by Solomon Airlines, both internationally and domestically.

There are several hotels in Honiara which have air-conditioned rooms, IDD telephones, satellite television, restaurant and swimming pool. Beyond Honiara, the islands of the Solomons provinces offer a wide range of accommodation facilities from good to excellent standards.

A full-colour Solomon Islands Brochure is available in pdf format for downloading or printing.

The Solomon Islands has strong traditional cultures which vary from province to province.  Handy information is provided to assist you in your travels.
